I should first like to thank you for the confidence you have shown in me by reconfirming me as your MLA. Although this is a new constituency, a large part of it was in the area I previously represented. To those of you who live in that part of Nanaimo which was added to the new constituency, please be assured that I shall do the best I can to continue the excellent representation you had from your previous MLA.
Since the voters have decided that they wish the NDP to remain as the Loyal Opposition in the Legislature, I, along with other Opposition MLAs, will continue to raise those issues which we believe require more attention from the Government.
If there is something you believe needs my attention or anything I should be aware of, make sure to let me know. Please remember that I represent all residents of Nanaimo-North Cowichan and my first priority will always be to fulfill my obligations to you.
